ABERDEEN-based audio-visual hire specialists, A-Line, have invested over £80k to bring a giant LED video ‘magic stage’ to the events of the North-east.

Adding that ‘wow’ factor, the YesTech Magic Stage Series Indoor P6.25mm video wall system comprises of modular panels that join together in multiple scenarios to provide a high-resolution backdrop to award ceremonies, dinner dances and product launches, or large format video presentation mechanism for exhibition stands, such as industry trade show, Offshore Europe.

This investment comes hot on the heels of the company’s 25th anniversary, and seven years since managing director, Andrew Dunn and technical director, Richard Trilk took ownership.

Over this seven-year period, the company has consistently achieved a 10% increase in turnover year-on-year, and the delivery of audio-visual services for well over 750 hires and events per annum.

Andrew Dunn comments: “Our ability to be flexible and provide clients with bespoke packages for events has meant that we have consistently won contracts locally and nationally to continue to build on our company development and achieve a consistently steady increase in turnover each year.

“With this steady growth comes our ability to invest significantly in new and exciting technologies. The magic stage will enable us to bring something unique to the Northeast, while presenting unique cost-saving solutions to the client at the same time. Due to the nature of the wall, each 450mm x450mm, 6.25mm pixel pitch panel weighs only 4.5kg each. This means that investment in expensive rigging, which is required for other similar video walls, is simply not needed.

“The dramatic backdrops achieved are incredibly effective and provide a pixel pitch unlike any other offered in the city. Our ability to provide this to our clients is giving us the edge on audio-visual offerings in the North-east and that’s something we are really proud of.”
